Quiet Country Life

When people come out to visit they often mention how peaceful and quiet it is out here. The country is indeed a great place to live. Besides ranch life (which can be quite crazy at times), it is pretty quiet.

Growing Fast

My brother's piglets are getting big! They were born in October, but I guess I didn't do a post about it on here . . . you may click here to see them (on my other blog) when they were first born - sooo funny and cute! Duroc pigs are hardy, easy to raise and grow fast - that's why my brother likes this breed.

He actually is selling some of them if anybody is interested (just leave a comment).

Rastus - boer buck

Another boer buck of my brother's. He sold his other bucks (Ace, Dynamite), and got this one. Rastus is a nice boer buck with a great pedigree.

Desert Dragon

I know it sounds weird, but we have a desert dragon. It is a 4 horn hair sheep, instead of a 4 horn wool sheep (aka 4 horn Jacob).

~ Just a part of my mom's crazy sheep breeding plan ;).

In the background: one of "his girls" - a jacob ewe.

Big Baby Boys

Some of my brother's cute meat kids. Here are some pictures of these big bucklings.

"Fighter" - remember the c-section we did on that doe? Well, "Fighter" (as we now call him) , the orphaned boy, has friends now.

This one's ears came out a little funky.

I really don't know how this picture came out like this . . . I guess just a wild kid and a wild me with the camera! ;).

Mama - doin' a good job of making sure they grow strong and healthy!
