Another Update + Pictures - The New (and the old)

Sunday was the local soccer league finals, and our team, Revolution, won - but sorry, no pictures yet because I don't have them imported yet ;).

2 new male llamas - from registered stock.

Another new animal we bought as an alpaca, but we think it's a llama/alpaca cross (I'm not joking). He is friendly.

And here he is again with his friend, an alpaca.

More new animals . . . we got over a dozen shetland sheep.

An old little mule and a mini (just bigger than the goats!) donkey.

Painted desert horned rams.

And lastly, something that's not new - one of our old, thin mini nubian does. In this picture - we let her hang out in the front yard and she went under the truck that's being worked on for shade :).

Quiet Country Life

When people come out to visit they often mention how peaceful and quiet it is out here. The country is indeed a great place to live. Besides ranch life (which can be quite crazy at times), it is pretty quiet.

Desert Dragon

I know it sounds weird, but we have a desert dragon. It is a 4 horn hair sheep, instead of a 4 horn wool sheep (aka 4 horn Jacob).

~ Just a part of my mom's crazy sheep breeding plan ;).

In the background: one of "his girls" - a jacob ewe.

"Visitors!"

We visited a dorper sheep farm that's just a few minutes away from our place. Here are some pictures of the visit.

Jump! Sheep often do this when running by people.

Cropped.

This farm is a beautiful place with nice sheep.
